vacation bible school volunteer

we helped young as well as adults people learn the lord. while there we had different setups for the children to go to and learn but mostly stayed in one room and the adults stayed in the sanctuary. while someone preached to them. we gave out snacks and sometimes gave them a full meal. i volunteered there for one week ( thats how long the bible school was) everyday from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m.

soup kitchen

i spent my Saturday and Sunday at the soup kitchen with 5 other people and we have to help cook up the food, fix the tables, and serve the food to the pastor of their church as he and his church members sat down ate and talked to some of the homeless people, and afterwards clean up and fix up everything. it was an all day event on both days from 11:00a.m to 5:00p.m.

my first day

My targeted outcome was to help others in need. To be appreciative of what I have and be thankful for the essentials that I have and not to be unappreciative to what i don't have. What i did was clean the kitchen then I along with others helped pass out food and grocery bags full of the the essentials needed for day to day living. The schedule I had for this was two days out of the week from 9:00 to 5:00. :)
